At ABG Lift Truck Training, we offer a wide range of RTITB accredited lift truck training as well as bespoke training packages to suit all of your training needs at our training centre, or alternatively at your premises.

The courses that we offer range from basic courses for novice and untrained operators, through to refresher training for experienced operators. We also offer back to back conversion training courses for more than one truck.

Counterbalance Lift Truck (forklift)
ABA Category: B1, B2 (up to 10,000kg), B4

The RTITB Counterbalance Lift Truck (often referred to as a forklift) operator training course will give you the skills to operate the lift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of lift truck and load instability.

Reach TrucK
ABA Category: D1, D2, D3

The RTITB Reach Truck Operator training course will give you the skills to operate a reach truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall the causes of truck and load instability.

Pivot SteeR
ABA Category: P1
​
The Pivot Steer operator training course (often referred to as an articulated, bendi or flexi truck), will give you the skills to operate the truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection and recall and discuss the causes of instability of truck and loads.
Powered Pallet Truck
ABA Category A1, A2

The Powered Pallet Truck operator training course provides candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver safe and efficient use of a range of powered pallet/stacker trucks.
​Mobile Elevated Working Platform
ABA Category: 1A, 1B, 3A, 3B

The RTITB Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP), or cherry picker as they are most commonly known, course is available for the following machines: vehicle mounted, scissor, telescopic and articulated.

Lorry Loader
​The RTITB Vehicle Mounted Hydraulic Lorry Loader (often called a lorry loader, vehicle mounted hydraulic loader or by the manufacturer name “hiab“) operator course will give you the skills to operate the crane safely and efficiently.

VEHICLE MOUNTED LIFT TRUCK

The Vehicle Mounted lift truck operator training course (often referred to as a Moffett), will give you the skills to operate the truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection and recall and explain the causes of truck and load instability.
Overhead Gantry Crane
​The Overheard Gantry Crane training course, often referred to as an OHC, will give you the skills needed to be a safe and efficient pendant and remove controlled gantry crane operator.
Banksman Instructor​
​The course provides candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver vehicle banksman training courses in a safe, effective and efficient manner. 
Order PickeR
ABA Category: E1, E2
​
Order picker trucks have the capacity to work at various heights, categorised as low (referred to as a LLOP), medium and high.
Slinging and signallinG
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and experience to accurately and safely direct a crane operator in positioning and moving a load. The role of the slinger (also known as the Rigger Banksman) is vital in any type of crane operation.
Abrasive Wheels Training
​This course is suitable for anyone who uses abrasive wheels in their work activities. The course is particularly relevant for those who use bench grinders, pedestal grinders and angle grinders.
